My favorite film genre is science
fiction, but more specifically cyberpunk. The theme of a futuristic world in
decay surprises me a lot, because it isn’t something we are safe from, and it’s
in the films of this subgenre that as can appreciate very well visually how the
world could become. The cyberpunk has a very strong social criticism in
relation to the poor quality of life of societies, where artificial
intelligence, megacorporations and technology supremacy becomes a mass control
in the communities.
An iconic film and one of my favorites is Blade Runner
2049. I went to see it 2017 on the day of its premiere and I was very
comfortable with its plot, cast, environment, special effects and soundtrack. The
plot of the film is located in the year 2049, where the replicants (described
as "bioengineered humans") are slaves. K (the main protagonist), a
replicant, works for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) as a "blade
runner," an officer who hunts and "retires" (kills) rogue
replicants. Throughout film can be see K's work and how it unfolds in this
world.
I've only seen this movie once and I would do it a lot more times, but
it lasts 2 hours and 43 minutes, so you have to take your time haha. I highly
recommend this movie because the background story it has is very dark and
impressive, along with its innate criticism as one of the best known cyberpunk
movies.

Blade Runner 2049 looks great, i just watch the original Blade Runner and the story it's just spectacular, the sequel should be amazing.
